Summary of Clinical History The patient was one of the recently arrived refugees dubbed a ‘Fae’ or ‘Fey’. Medical history unknown. Patient was brought in suffering from a reported headache and their condition deteriorated rapidly over the course of a few hours. Age and sex unknown, patient had a large amount of wood, sand and salt crystals embedded into their skin. Patient’s heartbeat was sluggish and blood pressure extremely low but it is unknown if this is abnormal for the patient. When blood was drawn, it was closer to a thick sap than human blood. Patient was pronounced dead at 12:03 with no heartbeat, unreactive pupils and no response to stimuli. Description of Gross Lesions It is impossible to give a proper report as upon arrival to the pathologist, the body had begun to rapidly decompose. While still somewhat in the shape of the original cadaver, all skin, bone, muscle, fat and organs were in the process of turning into a rich brown mulch. Some of the nervous system remained visible for a short while, appearing to be some form of golden silk recognisable only by its pattern. Within fifteen minutes of examination start, the entire corpse had decomposed. A chemical analysis of the remains showed a nitrogen and potassium rich substance similar to high grade fertiliser. A single other item was left: a roughly spherical quartz like crystal 5.32cm across at its widest point and weighing 132g. A section was cut away for analysis and it was quickly found to likely be hollow. When cracked open, a water like liquid was found within, a sample has also been sent off for chemical analysis. Summary Until more is learned of the ‘Fae’ biology, it is utterly impossible to draw any conclusions about the possible cause of death.
